What are the sponsors' names?
Sponsors (sometimes called Godparents) have an important role when young children are baptised. Along with one or both parents, they affirm their faith in Christ and answer on behalf of children too young to answer for themselves. They promise to encourage the child in the life and faith of the Christian community.
